We would like to introduce you to Megan, a wonderful 3 year old Akita, whom my friend Suzanne Adams and Myself rescued from a local rescue. She had lived in a kennel and run for many weeks without ever interacting with the outside world. She had been suffering from Entropian (where the eyelash grows inwards towards the eye) had no love nor affection and was feeling very neglected. Her past was very colourful and we just could not see her stay where she was... so of course she came home with us!!
Megan who we were told had never been on a lead, was not very friendly, turned out to be the most amazing little girl we had ever met (see pictures right)! With a bit of love, care and attention she was able to go for short walks on a lead, accept fuss and attention, enjoy the company of children, and most of all give everyone she met a cuddle and a kiss!
Megan has since had eye surgery to take care of her suffering, as well she was spayed before she would even be considered for adoption.
We are very proud of her progress, her temperament and most of all so proud of her forever home! She has gone to live with the most amazing couple who will give her all the attention and love she deserves. Many tears were shed, but with happiness, that she will never again be without a family!
We would like to thank everyone who applied to take Megan home to their new family, we were looking for that special home and we just new it would come along.
We hope to have pictures of Megan and an update on her progress in the near future.
We will miss Megan and her wonderful antics, her morning cuddles and most of all her ever so loving personality!
